FAQ

Q1: My car is still under the manufacturers warranty; can I still use Aylesbury Autocare to save on costs?

Yes you can. New laws now allow us to complete annual service requirements at a fraction of the cost of a main dealer without invalidating the manufacturers warranty.

Q2: When should I change my engine oil?

It largely depends on how you drive.  If you do a lot of short journeys and ‘around town’ driving, we recommend oil changes at 6000 miles.  On the other side of the scale, some cars do not require a service/ oil change for 20,000 miles.

Q2: Are you able to stamp my service history book and reset the service interval light?

Yes we are able to stamp your service history book and reset the service indicator.

Q3: Do you carry out MOT inspections in-house or due to take them elsewhere to be mot'd? Also what happens if my car fails the MOT test?

We are a VOSA approved MOT station and carry out in-house MOT inspections. In the event that your vehicle fails the MOT, you can leave it with us for the repairs.  You can also take your vehicle away and get it repaired at another garage of your choice.  Providing the vehicle is brought back for a retest within ten working days from the date of the test, the re-test will be free.

Q4: Am I able to wait whilst my car is with you?

Of course. We have a comfortable waiting area and if you have your laptop you can make use of our wireless broadband.

Q5: I have other commitments during the day and will find it difficult to drop my car to the garage?

Again no problem. We are able to offer a local pick up and drop off service. Our driver will pick up the vehicle from your home or place of work in the morning and return it once the work has been completed. You are able to pay by credit/ debit card over the phone.

Q6: Would I be able to inspect the dismantled parts from my car?

Yes of course. All parts that have been removed or dismantled from your car can be inspected till the end of the working day.
